The Kalahari Game Reserve, Central Botswana, is the largest sand basin in the world. Although called a desert, the Kalahari is covered with a wide variety of habitats and is home of the San bushmen and the Big-5 animals. On this private luxury tour experience three of Botswana’s most noted landscapes and safari experiences—water, land and desert. These are Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Kalahari Desert.
Botswana is literally an oasis in the desert – the desert being the Kalahari, cut into jigsaw shapes by the tributaries that vitalize the Okavango Delta. And where there is water there is life, lush and green and teeming with animals and birds. This safari destination is recommended only for those who are well-organized self-sufficient groups of adventurers who can confront the remoteness, wilderness, harsh terrain and unforgiving climate.
