Lombok is an Indonesian island east of Bali in West Nusa Tenggara, with spectacular marine life and attractions both in and out of the water. The Islamic Lombok Island (80km by 70km) is populated by Sasak people and differs considerably from its Hindu neighbour, with lots of wide-open spaces and unspoilt beaches.
Lombok Island’s northern area is dominated by the awesome Mt Gunung Rinjani, famous amongst trekkers and the reason many tourists come to Lombok. It’s also known for beaches. The trio of Gili Islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno), off the northwest coast, attracts increasing numbers of visitors. The resort of Senggigi on the west coast and south-coast Kuta, is a popular surfing centre, and offers reefs for diving and snorkelling, and a sea turtle hatchery.

Candidasa, Lombok, Ubud, Bali
Begin in Bali, also known as the 'Island of the Gods' and the most famous island in Indonesia. Stay for three nights at an exclusive resort perched on a cliff high above the ocean near Candidasa.
Enjoy free time to relax on the soft sand beaches, go surfing or take a colourful ‘jukung’ fishing boat, it is a perfect place to holiday. During flexible private touring, visit revered temples, royal palaces, and Balinese villages known for their high-quality weavings, silk and traditional architecture. This is also an excellent place for diving, sailing, and romantic sunset yacht rides—all of which we are happy to arrange, upon request.
Next, travel to the island of Lombok with lush forested mountains and an imposing volcano. With a private guide and driver, venture deep into the interior of this fascinating island. Visit deeply traditional rural villages known for their crafts (including pottery, weavings and basketry), see lush terraced rice paddies, a volcano, and beautiful waterfalls.
Alternatively, enjoy free time at the seaside resort or spend a day cruising and snorkelling the coral reefs around the Gili islands of Trawangan, Meno and Air off Lombok's west coast.
Transfer to Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali, where the spirit and culture of the island are most accessible. For more than a century, it has been the island's preeminent centre for fine arts, dance and music. Once a haven for scruffy backpackers, cosmic seekers, artists and bohemians; Ubud is now a hot spot for literati, glitterati, art collectors and connoisseurs.
Request for flexible touring of lush rice terraces, small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples and palaces or try one of the many spas, yoga and meditation centres that are big news here, particularly after the bestselling Eat, Pray, Love.
