Day 1 – Arrival
San Pedro Sula Meet and greet in San Pedro Sula airport. Private transfer to the pretty highland town of Copan Ruinas. This beautiful little village, paved in cobblestone and lined with white adobe buildings with red-tile roofs has an aura of timeless harmony. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon exploring this colonial style small town.

Day 2 – Tour
Copan Site & Bird Park Transfer to the world famous archaeology site at Copan. Here you can indulge in a private guided tour of this beautiful site which is renowned for its intricately carved stelea & hieroglyphic stairway as well as its comprehensive museum. When you’re ready we’ll return to Copan and to the Bird Park for lunch.
After lunch you can enjoy a walk in the lush, shady river valley location of the Copan Bird Park and have a local guide to accompany you and see and interact with a number of beautiful tropical birds that have been rescued from locales all over Honduras. When you’re ready, take a private transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3 – Tour
Finca El Cisne Meet your guide, Carlos, to begin your full day excursion to "Finca El Cisne". Carlos's family owns the farm and he will take you on a tranquil horseback ride through the farmlands and beautiful scenery of the Copan Valley, followed by a hearty farmhouse lunch cooked by Carlos's mother.
After lunch, finish your meal with a coffee grounded from the family farm. In the afternoon explore the coffee and cardamom plantations and learn about cattle ranching. This wonderful tour finishes with a dip in the hot springs on the way back to your hotel.

Day 4 – Transfer
La Ceiba Today we’ll arrange a private transfer to San Pedro Sula (3hrs) for a short flight to La Ceiba (20mins) & transfer to your hotel / lodge.

Day 5 – Tour
Cacao Lagoon This morning we’ll make our way to Cacao Lagoon, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the local people of this authentic, traditional fishing village. The best way to see the wildlife is by kayaking through the mangroves and you can join a little guided fleet to get involved. Expect to see lots of birds, butterflies, bats and howler monkeys. Reaching the beachside of Cacao Lagoon we paddle into the Caribbean and try our kayaks in the waves. The beach here is picturesque, serene and deserted. After a fruity beach picnic, we paddle back to our starting point and are met for the transfer back to their hotel.

Day 6 – Wildlife Refuge
Cuero Y Salado This morning we’re off to a wildlife refuge situated 33km from La Ceiba. This is home to the many endangered animal species found within the many mangrove canals proceeding from the rivers Cuero and Salado. There is a mixture both fresh and salt water, the reserve being right at the ocean’s edge. From La Union, we catch a ride on the old railway to reach this wildlife refuge, and then by boat or canoe we explore the mangrove lagoons. Manatees, monkeys, alligators and a variety of birds are all part of the highlights of this protected and diverse habitat run by the foundation FUCSA. Most frequently seen wildlife: Howler monkeys, more than 200 species birds (Herons, kingfishers, gallinules), butterflies, manatee and alligators.

Day 7 – Explore
Pico Bonito National Park Early start by 4x4 to the tropical forest of Pico Bonito. Here you can follow several treks deep into the lush vegetation - en route discovering butterflies, birds and many other species of wildlife. Following the Rio Zacate trail, we’ll have a beautiful view of the Caribbean Coast, reaching the magnificent Zacate Waterfall. Hiking along the magnificent ‘Cordillera Gracias a Dios’, which has it´s highest peak in Pico Bonito, will leave you breathless at the natural and sweeping beauty. This is the park that has made Honduras famous as a destination for eco-tours.

Day 8 – Transfer
Roatan Enjoy a free morning before your transfer to La Ceiba for a flight to the island of Roatan. This is a long island, measuring almost 40 miles in length and with a total landmass of 49 Square miles. The island has a mountainous backbone and is totally surrounded by coral reefs, offering superb diving as well as excellent fishing. Choose between more isolated beach hotels, the energetic beach of the West Bay area or the lively nightlife of the West End.

Day 9 to 11 – Relax
Beach Enjoy free days on Roatan to sunbath, snorkel, dive or perhaps rent a moped or car to explore the island.
Day 12 – Depart
Roatan Transfer to Roatan airport for your international flight or connecting flight to San Pedro for your departure flight.
