Ubud, Seminyak, Bali
This private luxury one-week tour to Bali is designed to give travellers an introduction to Bali's most impressive landscapes, cultural attractions, traditional villages, cuisine and resorts. Explore Ubud, the cultural centre in the interiors with artisan towns. Then transfer to Seminyak in South and stay at a luxury resort on a beach.
Begin near Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. For more than a century, it has been the island's preeminent centre for fine arts, dance and music. Once a haven for scruffy backpackers, cosmic seekers, artists and bohemians; Ubud is now a hot spot for literati, glitterati, art collectors and connoisseurs.
With your private guide and driver, tour the studios of noted artists and craftsmen, visit a local outdoor food market followed by a cooking lesson at a village, visit the Monkey Forest, and explore Ubud’s most interesting museums and art galleries.
Spend a day touring of lush rice terraces, small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples and palaces or try one of the many spas, yoga and meditation centres that are big news here, particularly after the bestselling Eat, Pray, Love.
Next, enjoy the sybaritic pleasures of Seminyak. Stay at a luxury resort on a beach that has a more sophisticated and laid-back atmosphere than Kuta, and is quieter during the day, but the fashionable boutiques and high-end bars come alive in the evening.
One day, a guide and driver will be at your disposal to visit local temples, fishing villages and shops. There will also be ample time for you to enjoy the resort's spa, beach, tennis, swimming pool, yoga and water activities.
