Bali Honeymoon

Yogyakarta (“Johg-Jakarta,” or just “Johg-Ja”) is a city on the Indonesian island of Java. It is known for an abundance of art and cultural heritage. It’s ornate 18th-century royal complex, 'Kraton', or the Sultan's Palace, is the cultural heart and soul of the city. There are open-air pavilions that host puppet and Javanese dance shows. Galleries exhibit historical batik fabrics, portraits and royal treasures.

In the Yogyakarta city’s lively Jalan Malioboro, you can find bargains on batik and other goods. South of Kraton, Taman Sari, once served as a former royal garden and bathing complex for the Sultan. Further south, the Gunungkidul Region is home to the most beautiful beaches. In the surrounds, Kalibiru National Park and Gunung Merapi are popular hiking destinations. Other activities available are sandboarding in Gumuk Pasir Parangkusumo, Luweng Sampang waterfall and Cave Tubing on river in Jomblang Cave. Yogyakarta is a gateway to the 9th-century Prambanan and the Borobudur Temples.

And, stay at a resort overlooking Borobudur and another at Jimbaran Bay.

Bali Honeymoon Stay at the Aman resort overlooking Borobudur and Four Seasons at Jimbaran Bay.
(12 Days - Departs Daily on a Private Basis)
Bali & Java

This tour is ideal for couples seeking soft adventure and top-end luxury accommodation for relaxation. Stay at our favourite Aman resort, located in the lush hills overlooking Borobudur, one of Southeast Asia’s greatest religious relics. Also Four Seasons at Jimbaran Bay, perfect for romantic couples. There will be time for hiking options around lush rice terraces and visit small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples and palaces.

Begin in Bali with three nights stay at a beachside resort in Jimbaran Bay. With some of the best sandy beaches in south Bali, and high-end villas in this area, Jimbaran Bay has resulted in monikers such as the "Beverly Hills of Bali" or "Millionaire's Row".

Enjoy pure luxury and beachside relaxation with free days to enjoy the spa, beach, tennis, golf, water activities, cooking school, nearby shops, and superb local seafood restaurants as you please.

Next, fly the short distance to Yogyakarta, the cradle of civilization in Java. Once the seat of power, it has magnificent temples of Prambanan and Borobudur, one of Southeast Asia’s greatest religious relics. Stay at the Amanjiwo, a favourite Aman resort, located in the lush hills overlooking Borobudur.

With a private guide, visit Borobudur at dawn, the most magical time to visit. Take a private tour to explore one of Asia’s oldest treasures; old houses, museums and handicraft shops dot the city with woodcarvings, paintings and silverwork amongst the crafts on offer. Other activities include hiking and biking or a lesson in meditation.

Return to Bali for several days near Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. Once a haven for scruffy backpackers, cosmic seekers, artists and bohemians; Ubud is now a hot spot for literati, glitterati, art collectors and connoisseurs. Take advantage of your resort’s spa and your decadent room with a private pool or request for flexible touring of lush rice terraces, small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples and palaces.

Alternatively, try Ubud’s many cafes and boutiques and take advantage of your resort’s spa and your private plunge pool; or book additional activities such as river rafting, mountain biking, or cooking classes.

When to go In general, Bali and Lombok have similar weather, though Lombok is dried and receives less rain than Bali. The hot and sticky rainy season lasts October to March with the worst falling between December and February. From June to August, the temperature drops slightly and there is usually a refreshing cool breeze in the air. The best time to travel is the dry season, from April to September. It is also when humidity is at its lowest.
